仁愛(jinai)

■The Meaning of “仁愛(jinai)”
In a word, it is a heart that cares for others and wishes for their happiness as if it were one’s own.
仁: The way of valuing people (compassion, kindness, human connection)
愛: A heart that cherishes
Together, it is affection that respects others and treats them warmly.
It is not merely liking or pity,
but a spirit that values the very existence of the other person.

■The Origin of “仁愛(jinai)”
“仁(Benevolence)” is the central concept of Chinese Confucianism.
Confucius is said to have stated:
“仁(Benevolence) means ‘loving others.’”
From this, the term “仁(Benevolence)” combined with “愛(love)” began to be used to emphasize human compassion.
In other words,
“仁(Benevolence)” = The fundamental concept
“仁愛(jinai)” = The state where its function is clearly manifested
This is the relationship.
